Don't Panic
“Attention!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is indeed a pleasure,
To have you all here,
As I make my funeral speech.
My life is about to end,
It’s a matter of a few hours.
Please stay calm,
You don’t need to worry.
Anyway, I have become too old,
With so many incurable diseases.
My life has always been,
Full of misery.
All I had for myself,
Was nothing at all.
I have nobody to live for,
Nobody to care for.
So enjoy yourself,
As my life passes away.
Finally, I forgot to say,
That you must die with me today.
And as I take my last breath,
I thank you for giving me death.”
There was a sudden silence,
As she left her world.
Nobody was left,
To mourn her unfortunate death.
Her ashes burnt in the sunlight,
There was no morning ever again.
Years later,
In an empty space,
Where the sun doesn’t set,
Someone had inscribed,
‘Earth was here’
(written in Class 10)
In Search of Peace
A person is being rational,
By choosing to believe in God,
Despite the unproven existence,
For it brings peace to his mind,
And gives him inner strength,
For it fills his day with hope,
And gives him love and friendship.
When some confused person,
Takes all this away from him,
What must he do.
A scholar can be given back his work,
A player can be given back his victory,
A worker can be given back his money,
But how can a man be given back his peace.
Once a man loses peace,
He is left only with violence,
Once a man finds violence,
He can never get back his peace.
The only way out,
Is to forget violence,
Despite its proven existence.
